Whether it's why you should love your boobs or why you should not cut your own bangs, MTV's "Girl Code" delivers fresh insight about all-too-familiar topics, and is sure to sometimes have its female viewers fervently nodding their heads while mouthing to the television screen, "Yessss, exactllllly!!!" Oprah calls that kind of catharsis an "aha! moment," which sounds like a positive thing, so we're highlighting a different part of the show each week that made us feel like maybe, just maybe, we're not the loner freaks we originally assumed. Take a look at the latest below.
"The crush to obsession line lies somewhere in the middle of the scarf that you're knitting for them." - Alice Wetterlund
Nobody's arguing that having a crush isn't one of life's simple pleasures -- it's one of the most fun things you can do without getting arrested -- but every once in a while, the crusher crosses the border from Awwville into Creeptown, and that's a major "Girl Code" violation.
Social media is partly to blame, Melanie Iglesias says in the aha! clip below, because you can learn everything about your crush without having to actually talk to them, which then creates a problem when you're actually faced with in-person communication. You know too much! Nicole Byer's criteria for labeling a stalker is more hands on: "It goes into stalking territory if you're literally scheduling your life around this person," she says. We have no idea what she's talking about...
Our advice? If you're inching dangerously close to obsession mode, un-bookmark his Facebook page, un-follow his Twitter and do not bail on your parent's anniversary party because Four Square says he just checked into your favorite bar. Stick to the gatherings you're actually invited to!
